There's a sewer drain near the Wollaston to North Quincy shuttle bus stop that is completely caved in.

I know that there have been other reports of potholes around this area, but the ones that I'm reporting now I think are different.
You can't even place cones on them because they're in the line of traffic. Maybe some traffic paint would serve as a warning, especially when dark with no lighting.

The cold weather isn't great for patch work so I understand if it doesn't get addressed till warmer weather. People just need to slow down and be more patient.

Unfortunately, another victim of recent storms... At the intersection of Hobart and Newport, the north bound lane, closest to the ground mounted traffic signal by the train tracks is riddled with a few potholes. Can't take a photo because you're in moving traffic by the time you see it.

    just another pothole...
  • Snow Plowing Acknowledged
2-18 N Central Ave Quincy, MA 02170, USA - Quincy
The snow plow came and completely destroyed the street sign, covered the sidewalk, and blocked off pedestrian access to the corner. The second image shows that previously there was at least 3 feet of pedestrian access and cleaned down to the pavement. It's now dangerous and difficult to move around this stretch.

I'm not sure if this is posted in the right area but there looks to be a very low hanging cable that could snag a tall truck perhaps. I don't think it's a power cable though.

2-16 Arlington St Quincy, MA 02171, USA - Quincy
This stretch of Arlington Street between West squantum Street to Newport Avenue is insufficiently plowed. Only cars that have a high ride height or trucks can PASS without bottoming out and scraping the bottom of their cars.
  • Street Lights Acknowledged
2-18 N Central Ave Quincy, MA 02170, USA - Quincy
I think the street lights were replaced today. However the one that's on the corner of North Central and Newport Avenue is flickering. I couldn't find the pole number but you can identify it because it literally is on the corner of the intersection and has a red emergency light strapped onto it as well. This is a wooden pole not a metal one.

On the northbound side of Newport Avenue just after the ramp up to West Squantum, there is a good amount of broken beer bottles and glass in the lane and on the side of the road. Sometimes cars driving over the broken glass throw it up at drivers and people behind them.

More than a few potholes that line the street up to the intersection of Arlington and Newport.

65 Boston Street Dorchester, Massachusetts - North Dorchester
Terrible potholes that stretch across the intersection from south bay going to rt 93 south.

Not really sure if this post belongs under sidewalk and street repair. There is a street sign for parking regulation that had been broken off from the sidewalk and left laying on the ground for several weeks.
  • Tree/Landscaping Acknowledged
2-18 North Central Avenue Quincy, Massachusetts - Quincy
After the last storm some fallen tree branches knocked down a telephone line or power line. The tree looks like it is in pretty tough shape because the lines run right through the middle of it. It should probably be trimmed back and down because it looks like it'll fall on a car or the adjacent house.

Mice waiting patiently on the red line platform at Downtown Crossing to take the red line train to Braintree.

There's a major depression in the middle of the road right on the center line. It acts like a speed bump for unsuspecting cars. I saw a car that was not driving fast at all, hit the depression hard enough that the car bounced in a jarring manner. You could tell that the passengers inside the car were not suspecting it as their heads bounced around and the brake lights suddenly lit up.

The shopping cart has been left at the corner of Newport Ave and North Central Street. Looks like it's from Stop and Shop.
  • 223 Newport Avenue Quincy, Massachusetts - Quincy

At the intersection of Newport Avenue and North Central St there is a sewer drain where the ground around it has deteriorated to the point that objects, debris, etc can easily fall in.

I'm not sure if it's an issue though. It could be still in a state of viable use. It's not like it's has completely fallen in.

  • 1 Holbrook Road Quincy, Massachusetts - Quincy
The push to walk button at the intersection near Chipotle does not work. Stood through two cycles of street lights without the walk signal ever appearing. I ended up having to cross against the traffic signals which is very dangerous. Others must already know about the issues with the crosswalk because they ran across the street instinctively. Which is even more dangerous because you never know when the right time to run across is.

Looks like another stop and shop shopping cart left behind or perhaps it was the one up the street from a few days ago.

A stop and shop shopping cart has been left behind.
